When we are honest and really see the horror of our sin, there is only one reaction – horror!
Psalms 38:18
For I will declare mine iniquity; I will be sorry for my sin.
That will lead us to humble ourselves before the Holy One of Israel.
2 Samuel 22:28
You will save the humble people; but Your eyes are on the haughty, that You may bring them down.
The Hebrew word translated “poor” (עָנִי ) [ä·nē’] means, “afflicted, poor often with the idea of piety.”
Matthew 5:3
“Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
God will only listen to the humble.
