Pray for the peace of Jerusalem

May they prosper who love you

Yeshua, the Messiah: Genesis 49:10, Isaiah 53:2, Micah 5:2

Yeshua, the Messiah: Genesis 49:10, Isaiah 53:2, Micah 5:2

Recently an article entitled, “Who wants Mashiach” was in the Jerusalem Post.  The writer opined that “He is mentioned thousands of times each day, all over the world, yet no one actually knows his name or very much about him.”

   However, even a cursory reading of the Bible negates that opinion. It would be foolish to ignore the details given throughout the Bible.  Who, when, what, and how are all found in the Tenach.

Gen 49:10 (His family line):

The scepter shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh comes; and to Him shall be the obedience of the people.

Isaiah 53:2 (His appearance)

For He shall grow up before Him as a tender plant,
 and as a root out of dry ground. He has no form or comeliness;
and when we see Him, there is no beauty that we should desire Him.

Micah 5:2 (His birthplace)

“But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of you shall come forth to Me the One to be Ruler in Israel, whose goings forth are from of old, from everlasting.”

Even His name, Yeshua, is used continuously because it means “salvation.”

PRAY FOR ISRAEL TO RECOGNIZE YESHUA AS THEIR MESSIAH.
