God’s Protection of Israel – Exodus 8:20-24

When Jacob’s family first came to Egypt, the Pharaoh sent them to live in the area of Goshen, a fertile area in northern Egypt.  This separation of the Jews was crucial, because by the fourth plague, God made a distinction between people.  While the rest of Egypt suffered from the swarms of flies, the Jewish people in Goshen were untouched.

God’s Four Promises – Exodus 6:5-8

God gave Moses 4 promises of deliverance. These promises are remembered during the Passover celebration meal, the Seder, through four cups of wine.

Passover Begins Exodus 12:1-2; Leviticus 23:5

Purim is the last on the yearly cycle of the biblical holidays.  As winter fades our hearts turn to the spring when life bursts from the cold, hard ground.   Actually the month of Nissan begins God’s calendar.  On the 14th of the Hebrew month of Nisan we celebrate the first and most important of the feasts of the Lord – Passover. 

God Reveals His Holiness – Exodus 34:7

God continued describing Himself to Moses reminding us that part of His goodness is His righteousness and justice.  His holiness demands punishment for sin.
