Nehemiah continues his prayer by focusing on the return of the Jewish people to the Land. This is still the plan and purpose of God today.
Today we will pray from the same prophesy of Isaiah but this time with the emphasis on “aliyah,” the term that describes the Jewish people “coming up” home to Israel.
Because of God’s holiness He brought judgment upon Israel and then dispersed her from the covenant land of Israel.
God exiled Israel from the land because of her sin; but the exile was to be temporary.

God’s planned destiny for the Jewish people is for them to be in the land of Israel, leading the nations in praise and worship.

Daniel understood the promise God made to Jeremiah to return the people back to Israel and began to pray for God to fulfill that promise (Daniel 9:1-2).
