Pray for the peace of Jerusalem

May they prosper who love you

- Psalm 122:6

Church’s Purpose

Church’s Purpose

Perhaps the least known directive of God for His church is in relation to Israel.

Romans 11:11

I say then, have they stumbled that they should fall? Certainly not! But through their fall, to provoke them to jealousy, salvation has come to the Gentiles.

Later we’ll look at God’s purposes for the nations in relationship to Israel, but today let’s also consider God’s purposes for His followers:

Ephesians 2:8-10

For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

Purim confronts and challenges us to fulfill those good works (purposes) in at least four ways:

  • Be obedient to God’s way and God’s timing
  • Be intentional
  • Trust God for the results
  • Obey even unto death

PRAY FOR YESHUA’S BODY TO FAITHFULLY AND COMPLETELY FULFILL HIS PURPOSES FOR HER.
