The End of Sin

We’ve been hearing God’s charges against Israel and the nations.  Zephaniah gives us only a glimpse as God sent other prophets with essentially the same message.

This week, we’ll pause and jump to understand God’s promised purpose: 

Daniel 9:24a

“Seventy weeks are determined
For your people and for your holy city,
To finish the transgression,
To make an end of sins,
To make reconciliation for iniquity,
To bring in everlasting righteousness.

As we journey through God’s punishment of the nations and the discipline of Israel, we need to keep the glory of His ultimate goal.
