Pray for the peace of Jerusalem

May they prosper who love you

- Psalm 122:6

Israel’s Righteousness

Israel’s Righteousness

Paul used two words that come from the same “word group” but have slightly different meanings, both of which are important in these chapters.

“Righteousness” focuses on character. “Justification” is mostly a legal term that means “acquittal (declared innocent) of guilt.

1 Corinthians 6:10-12

[And such were some of you.] But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.

A bit later Paul explains why and how God considers a person righteous. But the when is at the moment of conversion because of faith in Yeshua.

Romans 10:4

For Yeshua is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.

Justification comes to all who will believe; but becoming “righteous” is a process.

PRAY FOR ALL ISRAEL TO BECOME JUSTIFIED AND RIGHTEOUS THROUGH FAITH IN MESSIAH YESHUA.
