-Believers called Heretics

As more Jews began to follow Jesus the conflict in the Jewish community increased.  The problem became worse when the Believers evaded the Jewish tax and avoided the war with Rome (see November 25 post).

In 73, the Sanhedrin met in a small town called Yavne to decided what to do.  (The Sanhedrin is the Jewish Supreme Court that decided on all religious matters.)

The Council determined that the Believers were heretics and were doomed to an eternity of Hell for their faith in Yeshua. 

John 16:1-3

“These things I have spoken to you, that you should not be made to stumble.  They will put you out of the synagogues; yes, the time is coming that whoever kills you will think that he offers God service. And these things they will do to you because they have not known the Father nor Me.” (NKJV)

This was exactly opposite of everything Yeshua and the Hebrew prophets said!

Renounce the lie:

In the name and authority of Yeshua, I break the power and effect of the lies from the Council of Yavne.  This includes the proclamation that:

The following have no share in the world to come, but are cut off, and perish, and receive their punishment for all time for their great sins:

Anyone that turns away from the ways of the [Jewish] community.

Anyone who ascribes to the Lord of the Universe a body and a figure;

Anyone who denies the traditional interpretation of the Torah

Anyone who says that the Lord has given a new dispensation [of grace and redemption] …

Replace with the truth:

Yeshua said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life.

No one comes to the Father except through Me.” (John 14:6 NIJV)
