People have always tried to please God by doing activities for Him.  They pray, give to charity, and spend hours in religious rituals.  All those things are good, but it means nothing unless they have first been reconciled to Him.  The only way of being right with God is to be reconciled by faith in Yeshua.

Galatians 5:5-6

I suspect you would never intend this, but this is what happens. When you attempt to live by your own religious plans and projects, you are cut off from Christ, you fall out of grace. Meanwhile we expectantly wait for a satisfying relationship with the Spirit. For in Christ, neither our most conscientious religion nor disregard of religion amounts to anything. What matters is something far more interior: faith expressed in actions of sacrificial love. (“The Message” Italics my literal translation)

PRAY FOR THE RELIGIOUS JEWS THAT THEY WILL BE RECONCILED TO GOD THROUGH FAITH IN THEIR MESSIAH.
