The Diaspora

The devastation and destruction in 70 AD was horrendous but Yeshua warned it would get worse. 

Luke 21:24a

And they will fall by the edge of the sword, and be led away captive into all nations.

Sixty years later, there was another uprising against Rome, called the Bar Kochba Revolt. This time Rome decimated the Jews and expelled them from Jerusalem. Thus began an 1800-year dispersion (diaspora) from their covenant land.

As He always does, God have encouragement even as He was giving a devastating warning. 

Luke 21:24b

And Jerusalem will be trampled by Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.

This prophesy has been only partially fulfilled.  The ultimate fulfillment will come in the Messianic Kingdom when Israel, the people and the nation have full possession of their covenant land, and worship of Yeshua is established on Mount Moriah, the Mountain of the Lord.
