November 5: End times/Jerusalem, Israel’s redemption and salvation

Israel recognizes Yeshua

That God chooses Jerusalem to first make Himself known to the Jewish people is not a surprise.

What grief can be compared to the death of a firstborn son?  When God told Abraham to sacrifice Isaac, He described him as Abraham’s firstborn son. Although Abraham knew God’s promises for Isaac, it must have taken incredible faith for Abraham to be obedient.  When God punished Pharaoh for his treatment of Israel, God slew Egypt’s firstborn of man and beast.  Above all other examples, God the Father sacrificed His first born, and ONLY son for the atonement of Israel.

No other response will be appropriate, only the deepest mourning:

  • Mourning for rejecting Yeshua, God the Son,
  • Mourning for rebelling against YHWH, God the Father,
  • Mourning for refusing to believe the prophets.

Zechariah 12:10-11

“And I will pour on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem the Spirit of grace and supplication; then they will look on Me whom they pierced. Yes, they will mourn for Him as one mourns for his only son, and grieve for Him as one grieves for a firstborn. In that day there shall be a great mourning in Jerusalem, like the mourning at Hadad Rimmon in the plain of Megiddo.
