In a few days we will begin a series on the Fall feasts of the Lord. These feasts focus on Israel’s sin and separation from God. Thus it is a good time for us to be praying the Jewish people will realize their need for Yeshua as their Savior and Redeemer.
Job had been a wealthy and God fearing man. But his fear of God was unhealthy, not based on a personal relationship. When he suddenly lost everything: wealth, children and even his health he was bewildered. He struggled to find answers, asking the same questions many of us ask today, “Why?”
Job 7:20-21
Have I sinned?
What have I done to You, O watcher of men?
Why have You set me as Your target,
So that I am a burden to myself?
Why then do You not pardon my transgression,
And take away my iniquity?
For now I will lie down in the dust,
And You will seek me diligently,
But I will no longer be.”
God rarely answers the question, “Why?” But He will answer the question Moses asked, “Who are You?” God wants to make Himself known so that people will love and trust Him.
PRAY THE PEOPLE OF ISRAEL WILL ACKNOWLEDGE THEIR SIN AND SEPARATION FROM GOD.
