April 16: Passover

One more item was to be on the Passover table – unleavened bread.  Furthermore there could be no leaven found anywhere in the home. 

August 6: Tisha b’Av

As long as people refuse to hear the truth there will be false prophets. Truth is usually inconvenient and often makes us uncomfortable requiring that we change our lives.

July 31: Tisha b’Av

The world goes from crisis to crisis; wherever you look there is pain, suffering and death. Because Israel understands what it means to be in need, she is usually the first nation to help.

July 29: Tisha b’Av

The problem is not God’s. The fault is not His. He repeatedly sent warnings and opportunities for the people to change.

July 28: Tisha b’Av

Israel doesn’t admit and therefore won’t repent from her sin. Like so many today, she will try to blame God when He punishes her.

July 27: Tisha b’Av

We can almost hear God’s heartbreak. He questions Israel, challenging them to consider their unique privilege and relationship with Him.
