February 25: God’s unique relationship with Israel
God’s covenant keeping love was with Israel as a nation, unlike the New Covenant which applies to individuals. Through the prophet Nathan, God warned David that, if necessary, God would send discipline to the nation, but He would never break His covenant or remove His love.
