If a pillar of God’s covenant with mankind is uncompromising, self-sacrificing love, then the opposite would be true for the lawlessness. Thousands of years ago, Paul described lawlessness in just one word φίλαυτος (fe’-lau-tos) which simply means “selfish, lover of oneself.”
