Sennacherib king of Assyria came and entered Judah; encamping against the fortified cities. Hoping to prevent military action, he attempted to instill fear in the hearts of the people, much like Israel’s enemies today.
The more it pains us to read about God’s judgment of nations, the more motivated we should be to pray and proclaim His offer of mercy in Yeshua.
After the Lord God warned Assyria of the consequences of their attacking Israel, God gave Israel assurances of her future.
