Opposition to the Jewish people was expressed in many ways. There were two oaths that Jews had to proclaim and were designed to embarrass and humiliate.
As the church continued to rationalize the destruction of the Temple and Israel’s exile from the land, it determined that the Jews were responsible for the death of Christ.
