Every good relationship is based on an agreement, a covenant, between the parties. The agreement should address the desires, expectations of all parties and most important their. Commitment.
If we use modern terms, the covenant specifies the privileges and responsibilities of all parties involved. We can consider “law” to be the parameters of a covenant. Covenants cam be between individuals, citizens of a nation, and God and His Creation.

That God describes Himself as “echod” and not “yachid” is the first proof that God is triune in nature and essence.

When trying to make Jesus look bad, the Pharisees asked, “What is the greatest commandment.” Jesus responded by referring them to the Torah:
