April 28: God’s unique relationship with Israel
The prophet asks, “Who can know the mind of God?” The Psalmist is confused about God’s actions, but is certain that Israel has done nothing wrong. That may be true, but it is most unlikely. Israel was often unfaithful, constantly rebelling against God’s covenant. But He was faithful, never forsaking them.
