Just as God promised Abraham, Israel’s salvation and redemption will mean blessing for the world.
There is much discussion and some disagreement about the timing of this prophecy…has it been fulfilled or has it been partially fulfilled. Like most of God’s prophecies, fulfillment has several layers and we only have 20/20 when we are looking back!
God’s holiness and righteousness is as much part of His character as is love.
From the time Eve saw that the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge was desirous to make her wise, people have been trying to understand everything that God does. God tells us that it is impossible (Isaiah 55:10-11).
Today people complain that God is unfair and cruel, but what is coming will be much worse than anything we have seen in history or around us today.
The subject of this series, Jacob’s Trouble, is one of those subjects that most (probably all) do not fully understand or like. The context of Jacob’s Trouble is God’s final judgment upon the earth, upon Israel and upon the Gentiles.
In 1897 Theodore Herzl organized the First Zionist Congress to consider how to establish a home for the Jewish people. The only acceptable location was the land God promised to Israel.
