God described Himself to Moses has having a “long nose.” Actually the Hebrew words are: אֶרֶךְ אַפַּיִם which are usually translated as “long suffering.”

It would be easy to think that God has broken His promises to Israel, in fact many people do believe that lie. But God cannot nor will not forget His cherished firstborn son.
